No Breed Restrictions
The Charles welcomes all pups great and small! We no longer have any breed restrictions, meaning you can bring your Chihuahua, Great Dane, or any one in between. Since larger breeds need more room to play, we do require 2-bedroom townhomes or larger for bigger breeds. And they're guaranteed to have a private patio for the ultimate doggie sunbathing session! A paw shake (pet interview) is required for all dogs to make sure they're a good fit just as with the residents.
Onsite Fun
The Charles not only encourages dogs to explore but gives them their very own hangout! The Charles Bark Park is a brand new dog park with a designated unleashing area, where furry residents can play, train, or simply enjoy the sunshine. Hang out there with your pet and make new friends, four- and two-legged alike.
When residents and their pets aren’t socializing outside, they can keep up the fun on social media with our Pet Appreciation posts. Send us or tag us in your pet pictures on Facebook or Instagram so we can see what Rex or Tiger are up to. Ready for an adventure? Our property is located right across from this famous Alum Creek Trail, where you and your pup can explore miles of a paved path that affords beautiful bridges, creek views, and access to a number of charming neighborhoods and parks.
The Charles is near a number of quality groomers, pet sitters, and kennels, so the TLC your pet deserves is never far away. We've also partnered with Berwick Animal Clinic, the same vet our staff chooses for their fur babies, to offer residents nearby veterinary care that won’t break the bank.
